ShaperAndMower, Yes, the math does add up. Cliff was one of a kind, a pillar of the knife community. It will take about 20 years for the knife community to catch up to what he was doing. Please come join us atby jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed

Today, 8/8∕ 2021 makes seven years since I joined the forum. I wish I could have celebrated this when Cliff was with us. I will be posting links to my posts on the new forum from now on here, and this is lastly my last original post on this forum. Thank you everyone for being here for me the last seven years, I cannot express how much you guys have meant to me here, as well as the knifeby jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed

Chris. Not sure. I use my diamond stones with a lubricant always, along with light pressure. I have found that makes them last the longest. DMT's recent production over the last few years seams to have issues with them wearing out. I had to have one of my DiaFolds that came with the DMT MagnaGuide DiaFold set replaced. I had never had a DMT plate wear out on me before. The Spuderco CBby jasonstone20 - TuneUp's

I just picked one of these Spyderco Goldenstone's up. As soon as there is a place to post a sharpening device review on the new forum, I will do a review and most likely a video there.by jasonstone20 - TuneUp's
Scott, Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Hopefully things will turn around for you.by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
The only hesitation I have is that it is double the resources to run two forums, which is sort of a waste. But if people are not going to participate here, and will on a new forum, it would make sense.by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
Ryan, I understand. I am not sure how to proceed, and I don't know what is best to do on top of that. I would be willing to help out on this forum and a new one, and I don't mind building the new forum either, I have the time and the skill, I just don't have the resources. I would be fine with leaving this forum up as a rememberance, and having a post linking to the new forum.by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
Ryan, Yes, the participation rate and Cliff not being here.by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
The reason the forum declined in participation was because Cliff stopped posting regularly. I think we can all agree that we came to this forum because of Cliff. I tried to keep posting knife stuff in his absence, but I definitely am not Cliff, and I wouldn't even dream of trying to fill his shoes. Without Cliff doing his work on knives, I don't see this forum being anything but theby jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
Ryan, Exactly. So why would making a new forum change any of that?by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
Chris, I have to check how thick my Mora's are. I usually use a Mora 2/0 Classic and an old version 511, even though I own a few more. Also, I am talking about it cracking the apple right before the cut, not completely through the apple or breaking off chunks.by jasonstone20 - I am kind of a big deal.
cKc, I think that is a better option, since this forum is already up and running and we already have a membership. It would be nice for this forum to have more participation also.by jasonstone20 - The Wood Shed
These look interesting, Buck makes pretty good fixed blades, especially the older designs. I used to have a Buck 120 General, Buck 119 Special, and a mid-1970's Buck 118 Personal. All but the Personal were stolen.by jasonstone20 - Things to read in Denver when you're dead.
