I am seriously contemplating to get watejet cut blanks, heat treated and send to me for fitting the handle and for grinding down the profile

Unless You have very good tools, enormous amount of time perhaps no money
its the way. I dont assume You live in Alaska or Siberia so might be still
better idea to just buy one. I ve spent up to 10k euros just for machines
and tools related to the actual shaping/grinding/polishing/sharpening/lapping
I still didnt finish tweaking all equipment to work as I want
and I am not makin my living by selling knives..
kinda an example..
But its all relative to what kind of knife do you want to actually make.
