Cliff reviewed a couple of Ray Kirk's offerings a long time ago. This is some of his current work:

His description:

Quote

This model knife is forged from a .531" dia round bar of 52100. It is a hidden tang integral with a scorched Bois d arc wood handle. The handle is attached with K & G epoxy and a inconel pin. The knife is 8" OAL and has a 3 3/4" blade. This knife comes with a leather belt sheath. Each knife may be slightly different due to each one being made by hand.

Price of knife, sheath and shipping. $256.00

He also makes smaller versions of this knife as well.

Nice design.

Folding knives are fun, fixed blades are important.

That looks nice, and highly useable.

Ray is a really understated ABS maker. He used to do very well, and win, the older cutting competitions and was one of the few to actually talk about how he ground and sharpened the knives in order to do well.

I might need to pick up one of his small offerings. They have a nice style to them, plus they seem to be affordable.

That's a nice knife bill, I wouldn't mine having that as a nice edc fixed blade. Lately I've been thinking of a knife to fit a KSF back pocket sheath and that would probably work perfectly. How are you liking it so far and how do you like the 52100?

Jwolf: I am considering getting one in the near future. Don't have one.

For a intergral bolster made by MS that is a very good price.

Like Jeremy said that seems like a steal. I always like integral bolsters like that and at that price it's very tempting. You may just see me with one if you dont. Just kidding lol but I do hope to see it around soon with a review.
